Newsletter #4

-

Hello everyone

We are starting week #5 which will conclude the group phase of this session. As I noted in my e mail please try to complete your round 5 matches by Sunday night. I will need to set up the brackets for week #6 so if we finish one day earlier than usual it would help me get them ready by Monday. This next phase of the session I should be a lot more fun because we will get to play people who are close to our skill level. So the matches should get a lot more competitive.

This week Halil had to pull out of the league due to an injury. We have been pretty lucky so far that we didn't lose any players for the first 4 weeks. If Halil doesn't come back for session II the opening will be filled by one of the challengers just like all other openings we might have. As we get closer to the end of the current session, most likely during week #7, I will do the sign up for session II to see how many of you are coming back, and how many openings we will have. Session II will probably be 9 weeks long. If everything goes as planned, and we don't lose a huge number of players , each division will have 10 players and they will get to play everyone in their division once. Session II final standings will be used to set up brackets for the session III (single match elimination tournament).

Past week we had 4 forfeits out of 19 matches scheduled. Challenger league is doing great with all of their matches completed after 3 rounds.

For those of you following pro tennis , French open started this week.
