Hello everyone,
We had a perfect start of the season, all 16 scheduled matches have been completed on time.
The second round starts today, and all matches need to be reported by next Monday (May 18th). Please let me know if you are having trouble reaching your opponents or setting up matches. I thank you all for trying your best to complete matches on time, success of this league is measured by how many matches are played.
Please let me know if you need a sub this week , we have 9 players on the subs list who are eager to play.
You can check the latest scores and standings on our web site http://www.rochestertennisleague.webs.com/
As you noticed in my e mail, this blog is a new feature on our web site. You will be able to get to it by clicking blog tab on our main site http://www.rochestertennisleague.webs.com/ or directly at http://www.rochestertennisleague.blogspot.com/
These blogs/newsletters will be archived here so you can refer to the past ones. You have an option to leave a comment on the bottom of the blog. The blog is a work in progress and I might add some more features to it . For now I have a weather forecast that you can find on the right side of this post and also tennis tip of the day video. I will still be e mailing you each week with the link to the current newsletter..
Last week I created a forum for our web site, and I noticed that some of you tried it out and posted some messages on there. I am getting a good feedback about this feature and I hope as we go on more people will use it and it will prove to be effective. The primary goal is to set up more practice matches , but we can add more categories. For example this week I added a topic that is labeled For Sale. You can use this tread to post ads regarding sale of your tennis equipment. If this forum takes off I am sure we will come up with more categories. If you haven't checked it out go to the forum tab on our site or directly at http://www.rochestertennisleagu.forumotion.com/
I also wanted to let you know that Bob Huber is running his tennis ladder this year again. The ladder is a great way to set up more matches this summer. It is free, and designed for playing levels 2.5-4.0 . There is no schedule to follow, so you basically play when you can by challenging other members. If interested check this link for details http://www.globaltennisnetwork.com/index.php?option=com_tennisladders&Itemid=63&task=ladder&ladderID=583
For questions e mail Bob Hubert at agenthubert@hotmail.com
So long for now, please feel free to post comments about this newsletter or anything else about the league . If you click on comments below, a window will open where you can write your message.
