Session II begins

Hi everyone

Session II is starting on Monday June 20th. Schedule is already out so you are welcome to play early if you would like.
Your schedule is posted on the link below (page might load slower then usual today due to a scheduled maintenance).

To allow yourselves enough time to set up matches please try to initiate your communication early in the week.  I think it's reasonable to expect a response within 24 hours. Let me know if you are having difficulty getting in touch with someone or if they are not getting back to you promptly. New players please review rules section of our web site to make sure this competition will work for you. Playing in RTL requires a serious commitment and players need to be flexible setting up matches every week. Incomplete matches negatively reflect on the league and too many missed matches can lead to a suspension from the competitive part of the league.

Contact list

Contact  lists containing your  info has been emailed to everyone.

Session II will have a round robin format for 7 weeks. Final standing will be used to set up brackets for session III.

Reporting matches
Please email your scores by Monday night as follows

Division I and II email to Dave P at rochestertennis1@gmail.com
Divisions III and IV  email to Andrew at faller.andrew@gmail.com
Divisions V, VI and VII email to Maksim at rochestertennisleague@gmail.com
Division VIII and IX  email to Soudabeh at soudabeh.kargar@gmail.com

Both women's divisions email to Merry at merrysnowshine@gmail.com

Scores need to be emailed by 11:59pm each Monday night unless players requested an extension to play Tuesday (see rules section of our site for details).

Matches can be played ahead of time but they can't be postponed. Please be prompt sending your  scores in. We won't be sending reminders about pending  scores. All unreported scores will be recorded as DNP FTR  (did not play failure to report) and both players will lose 0.5 points a penalty.

DNP vs Forfeit
DNP score is usually reported if both players feel responsible for missing a match (both were not available enough) This score deducts 0.5 points from each player.  Forfeit is recorded if one player was available but his/hers  opponent was gone whole week or had very limited availability. We hope that players will show good sportsmanship and  forfeit their own matches when they feel they had limited availability. Forfeits are recorded as 6-0,6-0 FF. Available player gets 3 points and his opponent 0.

Balls/ running late
Both players are required to bring a new can of balls. A racket spin  determine whose balls are used for the match. If your opponent is running late more then 15 minutes without calling you can take off and record a forfeit win.

Have a great session and see you out on the courts.

Maksim
