The fifth season of the Rochester tennis league is almost over. We have 2 semifinal matches left in the main league ( Nick R-Mark and Tuan-Ashley) and final match in women's division(Rachel-Samantha).
You can see the session III results on the web site. Thank you for doing your best to keep up with the schedule. Due to rain last week the semifinal matches are pushed back a little but the session has been going pretty smoothly so far. The season ends on October 3rd when we plan to have the championship match. All 4 semifinalists are available to play that day.
You are all invited to The end of the season party on October 3rd at 2pm. This event will be hosted by Rochester Athletic Club. It will include our championship match, doubles play, and some doubles drills. Refreshments will be provided by the RAC. This even is free to all members of the league . As of now we have over 20 people coming. If you haven't responded yet, and you want to join us please go to this link to let us know you are coming.
It should be a great way to finish the season. The trophy below will be awarded to 2010 champion, and I also have throphies for the runner up and women's division champion.
Contact us page
I created a contact me page on our web site. There is a link for it on the home page below my name and email address. We had some minor trouble with some e mails not going through to me, and this should be an alternative way to get in touch in case it happens again. By clicking on contact us link a new page opens up, and you can send me a message by submitting a contact us form.
Indoor season
As most of you know Dave Hodge has been organizing Sunday morning matches at the Rochester Indoor Tennis Club. This is a great opportunity for those of you who want to keep playing during the winter. Dave sends an e mail out every Monday asking who wants to play following Sunday at 10am. Players respond by e mailing him back and then he sets the match ups. I believe the cost for non members is 15 dollars for one hour of tennis. If you have questions or if you want to get on Dave's list please e mail him at hodge@mayo.com
