Hello everybody

We are almost done with session II, last round matches will determine the final standings. These standings will be used to set up seeds for the session III (a single match elimination tournament). So far following players won't be able to participate in session III: Dave H, Eapen, Matt Q, Emmanuel and Scott . So most likely top 5 seeds will be off in the first round.

All week #7 matches need to be done and reported by Sunday night, I had to cut this week short to be able to set brackets by Monday, since we start session III right away. As noted before, Ashley Bryant bryant.ashley@mayo.edu will take over running the league on Monday, so you will be reporting your scores to him. He will be sending out match ups and scores. Session 3 matches will have to be done by each Monday night, and extensions won't be allowed. If a match doesn't get done by the deadline it will be recorded DNP. Since this is a tournament competition, one player will need to advance. So here are two ways we will determine who moves on:

1. One of the players forfeits to let his opponent advance

2. If nobody forfeits, higher seed advances to the next round.



We won't be posting scores on the web site while I am gone, but the web site will have contact info and tournament rules .

I won't be checking my e mail often so you will have to contact Ashley if you have any questions or issues regarding the league. Dave H will assist Ashley when needed, so he would be your go to person as well.

We are having a great season so far, and I am sure the fall tournament will be anothother fun competition. We should have about 27 players participating. As I mentioned before this is a single match elimination tournament (only winners advance to the next round.)

I plan to set up a doubles tournament after I come back in late September, by then session III will be almost done, and it would be nice to get the group together once more before the season ends.
