Thank you all for participating in RTL this year. I hope you had a lot of fun playing tennis this summer.

Big thanks to our scorekeepers who helped us run the league smoothly through session III . Andrew, Soudabeh, and Samantha.

RTL had another very successful season. We had a good number of new players joining for the first time this year. Thanks to all of you that spread the word about it.

Anyone interested in leaving a review about RTL or write about their RTL experience can do so on the link below.

Review RTL

Session III format
As usual, session III had a steep  drop in match completion rate. We managed to complete 74% of matches, while our normal rate through the rest of the season is about 85%. Historically, more matches are missed towards the end of the season due to reduced daylight, less court availability due to high school tennis but also less enthusiasm for playing consolation rounds.  Last couple of rounds of session III should give you the most competitive matches  at your level, . Unfortunately, that is when we have a lot of DNPs and forfeits. I created a little poll on the right side of this blog that you can use to vote for your favorite session III format.  Do you prefer to keep the current session 3 format which includes consolation rounds or revert back to single match elimination format (one loss and you are done for the year, only winners advance to play next round).

Indoor tennis
I will be running Sunday morning singles again this indoor season at Rochester Tennis Connection. If you would like to be added to that group let me know. There is no obligation to play any number of matches. I email the group each Monday and whoever can play on following Sunday emails me back. Cost is 20 dollars for non members for 1.5 hours of singles tennis. Matches are scheduled at 10am or 11:30am Sundays. I believe each court will be getting a free can of balls.  If you were on the list last year you don't have to email me unless you want to be removed from it..

Indoor league?
Tim Butorac from Rochester Tennis Connection asked  about a possibility of  an indoor singles  competition that would be  played at RTC.. Court fees would be $20 for 1.5 hours for non members, and $12 for members of the club. Players would schedule court time on their own, any day that works for both players. If anyone is interested in organizing  this competition or playing in it  let me know.

By this time of the year,    I am  ready to take a  break from organizing tennis so  as usual , RTL is switching to hibernation mode until next spring.

So long for now, I hope  to see you all back in the league  next year.
