Week #4 brought us some more bad weather but we still managed to complete 21 out of 24 matches. Great job everyone trying your best to play matches before the deadlines. Please be prompt reporting your scores by Monday night . I try to get the standings updated early in the week.
More tennis
So far I have a group of 10 players interested in occasional matches (singles/doubles) outside of the league. If anyone else is interested let me know, and I will add you to the list (state level, and if you are looking for singles, doubles or both).
Inter-league match.
It seems like our match versus FAT league is most likely happen on June 19th (Sunday) in Cannon Falls . RTL team captain Keegan Hakala will be sending an e mail about this soon. It will be another great opportunity for our players to get together , have fun playing tennis, and represent our league. We normally try to set couple of inter-league meets over the summer.
French open coverage
As you know one of four majors started this week. For great live video coverage of French open check www.espn3.com They cover a few matches simultaneously so you can pick which one you want to watch. They also have replays of the earlier matches as well. Anyone with Charter internet connection should have a free access to www.espn3.com
Subs
I have couple of people on the sub list so if your opponent is gone for an entire week and you still want to play a match please let me know. Points won by subs don't count for the league, so match will still be a forfeit.
Player out
This week Richard from group H pulled out of the league. He wasn't able to complete a single match after 4 weeks so it didn't make any sense to keep him on the schedule. We have another possible opening so we will most likely get a new player in on Monday.
So long for now, have a great weekend.
